ABOUT
Level Field CDC was created to address the imbalances in our society and offer a field where we cultivate the potential trapped in our communities. Our world cannot afford to waste this opportunity. Every person is born with a right to stable and safe shelter, excellent education opportunities and the promise that the world can be a better place for themselves and his/her community. These fields – housing, education and ecological resiliency – are the foundation for Level Field CDC.
MISSION
Level Field will partner with development companies and other organizations to provide affordable housing, educational opportunities and ecologically resilient projects within the communities it serves.
LEVEL FIELD GIVES BACK
We believe in taking action with urgency and care to serve those who need us most. Please join us by supporting our efforts to make a measurable difference in the lives of others. It’s time to make real change.
FIELDS
LIVING
Safe and secure housing is essential for healthy and resilient communities. Through our work, Level Field will support efforts to ensure children and their families have access to housing that ensures stability and supports prosperity.

Level Field will support the development of affordable housing initiatives by:
-
facilitating access to capital grants, proposal development and funding,
-
sponsoring projects that have broad community support,
-
supporting projects with tenant demographics that include children,
-
leveraging funding from other local and federal sources, and
-
integrating with other Level Field programs - education and resiliency.
LEARNING
Through a combination of education, vocational training, career development and long-term support, Level Field will offer real hope for people whose experiences with home instability and poverty have impaired their right to educational success. Level Field will partner with other community-based organization and employers to offer support and programming to qualifying candidates for:
-
support in achieving GED or high school diplomas,
-
hands-on work experience in construction, hospitality and agricultural industries, and
-
financial support in non-traditional post-secondary educational areas such as entrepreneurship, self-employment, financial literacy and work readiness.
LASTING
The impacts of climate change will continue to intensify without collective education and efforts. Level Field will help communities become more climate resilient by supporting large and small-scale climate mitigation, adaptation and resilience projects, including:

-
energy retrofits, alternative energy generation, water conservation, waste water treatment at community-purpose buildings, including affordable housing communities,
-
education for construction-site waste, recycling and re-use principles,
-
building deconstruction, salvage and materials re-use in the construction of affordable housing,
-
rural and urban food production to provide affordable, quality, local food for vulnerable populations, and
-
managing food waste and promoting composting opportunities.
